At home, I’m the oldest of four and I ask my brothers to do things like the washing up and taking out the garbage. My parents have been like, ‘What are you doing?’ and I am like, ‘They can do it just as much as you and I mum. We’re meant to have equal rights but women do so much more’. I have seen it in my mum’s life and it has killed me. I’m going to shape my own life. I’m going to shape it different from what I’ve seen. And my daughters are going to be given a choice.

A little change at home can make all the difference. What a marvellous way to leave a legacy for social change
