I enjoy learning more about the practice of Narrative ideas. My clinical work consists mainly of groups and individuals in the justice system, whether incarcerated or on probation. I am interested in expanding my knowledge in the areas of domestic violence, substance abuse, and finding joy in my work. I also offer a poetry page with a prompt for those who use writing as a way to explore their lives. |

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice in Brentwood, California. I am currently working with individuals, couples and families. I also provide supervision and training. I have been an author, presenter, and supervisor of Narrative ideas for the past 10 years. My writings include co-authoring the book: Biting the Hand That Starves You and a recent article for The Journal of Narrative Therapy and Community Work. Ongoing studying and connecting with others keeps my work alive and, as a result, I am active in several Narrative study groups in Los Angeles. I love broadening this community and invite connection from other practitioners. |

I am interested in narrative practice and its intersection with community work/activism. I have done a great deal of work in the area of narrative practices with youth including authoring the book, "Treating Huckleberry Finn". I am particularly interested in using cultural studies methodologies in clinical practice, including the use of popular culture texts. Lastly, since I am a full-time professor of Social Work, I am interested in post-modern pedagogical practices. |

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Co-Founder of MAPS Counseling Centre, a narrative-based private practice located in Orange County, California. I enjoy the collaborative and non-pathologizing nature of narrative practice as well as examining social discourse. Although I enjoy taking apart problems of all kinds, I am particularly interested in women's issues, relational struggles of those labeled with acute psychiatric illness and crisis/trauma. I welcome opportunities to connect with other narrative-minded practitioners |

I am a narrative therapist working in private practice. I get particular joy in exploring narrative practices with couples, and in facilitating parent-teen dialogues. My interest in postmodern ideas began in 1989, using critical theory with art and writing. I am interested in growing connection with narrative folks within and outside of Southern California. I frequently participate in a vital postmodern community in Los Angeles, and am thrilled to be part of Narrative Solutions. |

After over 35 years of clinical practice, the influence of post-modern, narrative, and collaborative work on my work is fundamental. My clinical practice is also informed my Eastern philosophies and practices such as meditation and tai chi. I see couples, families and individual in my practice. I also teach at the USC School of Social Work, and at the Southern California Counseling Center. I provide consultation and supervision to other clinicians. Another vital part of my work is with organizations doing consulting and focusing on leadership. This work is also based in postmodern philosophy. I look forward to connecting with those who want to help develop these ideas and practices or who want to be a part of conversations for change and transition in their own lives, practices and organizations. |

I am currently working towards my PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy and have co-created Narrative Voices, a group that meets to build community and stay grounded in narrative practices and theories. (I would love for anyone to join if they are interested, please email or call me!) I am passionate about pop culture (mass media/television, etc.), institutional power, social discourse and social justice. I am also fascinated with the rich diversity in the moral and spiritual aspects of our lives, and the luster of meaning and purpose that results in (re)connecting with these aspects. I hope to connect with others who share these passions in hopes of healing our cultures, both locally and globally. |

Narrative became my preferred way of therapy in 1999. I love that it moves away from pathologizing and separates the problem from the person while looking at how past events are shaping current functioning. I find narrative useful with children, teens, adults and families and feel privileged to call myself a narrative practitioner. Please call or email for therapy, consultation or supervision from a narrative framework! |

I am a feminist therapist with a clinical practice committed to the empowerment of women and girls. My clinical practice, training services and community work focus on individuals who experience marginalisation based on gender, age, race and ethnicity, class, sexual orientation and status as a psychiatrically labeled person. I am especially interested in linking with narrative practitioners who are utilizing narrative theory in community work. |

I've been studying, learning, and practicing narrative ideas since 1994. I have a therapy practice in Decatur, GA USA, and also work at a hospital-based agency that provides therapy for people with problems of substance use. My particular interest in narrative ideas centres around problems of substances, couples therapy, family therapy, cross-cultural therapy, people with histories of trauma and abuse, and people struggling with the effects of anxiety and depression. I enjoy practicing narrative therapy in ways that connect with a variety of people, problems, contexts and circumstances. I look forward to linking with others and finding out how people apply narrative ideas in their respective locales and cultures. |

I provide therapy and supervision in private practice. narrative therapy has been a rich source of possibilities for discovering the multi-storied constructions of life, and the re-authoring experiences. I am honoured and privileged to continue a journey of almost two decades of learning narrative therapy from Michael White and other gifted teachers through workshops, reading, and with the people who consult me. The Narrative Consultation group here in Boise provides a lively source of narrative ideas. I enjoy talking with other narrative therapists about these collaborative approaches. |

My interests in connecting with other narrative practitioners are communication and community. I think the possibilities of growing narrative ideas and practices multiplies as practitioners grounded in narrative approaches share experiences. My personal interests in narrative practices include my practice of narrative family therapy, and my interests in writing about narrative practices and narrative theory. (publications- Living Conversations, 2002 co-authored with Christopher Behan, and "Good Answers to Bad Invitations" International Journal of Narrative Therapy and Community Work, 2005) Beyond that, I'd like to be able to re-connect with some of the people who I have met over time at Narrative events. |

I am a Brazilian marriage and family therapist, living in the United States, and working with a diverse population of immigrants in the Great Washington Area. Narrative therapy has allowed me to maintain conversations about the immigration process, which may include isolation from family and from a supportive community, difficulty in obtaining services, confusion about the various cultural norms, language skills, as well as cross-cultural and identity issues. I have organized a monthly narrative reading group that has been active since March 2005. |

I have been vitalized by the ideas and practices of Narrative therapy since encountering Michael and David's work in 1989. I have worked hard on developing and furthering these practices in my own work, teaching and supervision. My encounters with others in this work has re-vitalized me on several occasions and I look forward to growing these associations. I am also a partner of a Narrative Ideas group from New England that has been working together in a regional way, so I look forward to international collaboration. |

Rather than assuming that I have expert knowledge, I form a partnership for the purpose of eliciting change. I collaborate rather than direct and the responsibility for the direction of the conversation is shared. As an over 36 year survivor of a traumatic brain injury, I must continually work at recovering. The example I present encourages clients to explore & struggle with their own problems. I go on to invite practitioners to focus on acceptance. |

I believe these ideas can change our world. I look forward to connecting to others who are refreshed by these ideas and are compelled to practice in collaboration, while attending to the political nature of therapy. I'm connected to "Deconstructing Addictions," but Iâd love to broaden my interaction with others who are interested in these ideas through Narrative Connections, and hope to be a partner with those who would like to develop these ideas further. |

Trained initially in community organization and then in family therapy, I have always practiced in the multiple contexts of race, class, gender, ethnicity and other systems, and from a non-pathologizing, strengths-based perspective. In the Seattle Narrative Group I was able to strengthen my critical thinking and narrative practice skills. I now weave EMDR, narrative practices and Mindfulness Meditation together to help clients re-author their lives including changes in neurobiology. I am by nature collaborative and would welcome mutual exchange with other narrative practitioners near and far. I think it takes a village to work with any given clinical situation. |

My main interest is in working with therapy and the dynamics of oppression. Much of my work is devoted to examining the intersection between the various dimensions of diversity including race, class, gender, sexual orientation and the process of therapy. I am also interested in providing education, supervision, and training to beginning and experienced therapists. |

My practice consists of work with families, couples and individuals with whom I weave in the Narrative method: objectifying the problems, facilitating the uncovering of resources, practices, qualities to re-author lives & relationships. I have developed & modelled my practice style & method from years of workshops, international conferences & training & attendance, readings of Michael White & David Epston primarily. |

As a social worker and family therapist, specializing in GLBT adolescents and families, narrative practice has come to constitute the pathway through which I come to understand their struggles, disappointments, love for one another, and stories for re-claiming connections. Having recently crossed over from practitioner and clinical director to full time faculty member, I long for conversations with like-thinking others about practice not bound up in the constrictions of pathologizing, westernizing, and language-limiting possibilities. |

For the past few years I have been immersed in narrative ideas. Recently, I completed the Dulwich Centre's international training course and now I am putting all the things I learned into practice. I have a private practice where I see a range of fascinating individuals and families. I also am an active part of the local narrative therapy community. I welcome referrals, visits from people interested in talking about narrative ideas, and the opportunity to teach or supervise. |

As a mental health professional, I have become increasingly disillusioned about mental health care in the US, as I realize how chronically mentally ill people are being marginalized. Getting (re-) acquainted with Narrative Therapy has given me a new sense of hope and excitement. I hope to link with other therapists to exchange ideas, share learnings and keep growing. I am moving to Belgium soon, and hope to join the community there as well. |

I became interested in narrative practice in 2005 when I took a course based on narrative ideas. It was the first therapeutic practice I encountered that resonated fully with my commitment to social justice and anti-oppression work. In linking with other practitioners I am interested in discussing narrative ideas and sharing narrative resources. I am also interested in being a part of a reflecting team. I provide therapy to adolescents and adults, with a particular focus on serving LGBTQ persons (lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer and questioning) as well as people navigating through cultural changes. |

In addition to the social justice commitments in narrative practice, I am interested in developing communities of practitioners who can articulate their narrative orientation within the context of an ongoing set of practices which include other theoretical orientations. The narrative study group at the Center for Narrative Studies has been meeting for eight years, engaging in this process of exploration and study. We are committed to being transparent about describing these linkages to theory and practice, while supporting each other in our particular practice contexts. This connects with the narrative commitment to multi-vocality. |

I've been interested and involved in narrative practice ideas for many years. I'm interested in a study group, starting group therapies, community projects, and/or research collaboration with other therapists interested in narrative therapy. I'm particularly interested in utilizing narrative ideas in work with persons struggling with depression, anxiety, eating issues, sexual compulsions, religious and spirituality issues, abuse/trauma, couples/marital work, families in therapy (particularly with adolescents), and play therapy for children. I have been involved with postmodern practices for over 20 years as an educator, clinician, presenter and author. The Narrative approach most closely represents how I think and conduct my life. I am interested in connecting with others who enjoy expanding and integrating Narrative in their own lives, including ideas and practices related to postmodernism, Buddhism, social constructionism and reflecting processes. |

I am a feminist psychologist practicing at the counseling center of Virginia Commonwealth University. I have been strongly drawn to narrative ideas because of their fit with my ideas about social justice and people and change, their focus on the politics and ethics of therapy, and the feeling of creativity and adventure I experience with them. I am interested in working collaboratively with people about all sorts of problems and projects. I hope to build community with others in my area who are interested in narrative ideas. |

I've been interested in narrative ideas for about ten years, especially narrative ideas that pertain to people underserved by, or who underutilize, traditional family therapy or mental health services. In research and clinical work, I use art and personal journaling within a narrative framework. I'm interested in learning more about research approaches compatible with narrative ideas. I have conducted exploratory research combining a narrative therapy approach with expressive arts with good results. I also worked with Indonesian mental health workers to develop narrative ideas in response to the 2004 tsunami. I would welcome connections with other "narrative thinkers" internationally. |
