Hope for connection I trained as a psychologist and family therapist and I have been interested in narrative practices for a number of years. Narrative therapy has become a significant part of the way I work with people and in 2003 I completed the international training program run by the Dulwich Centre. Since then I have been supervising and training people in Narrative practices. My hope is to encourage more people to work in this way and develop a narrative community in Ireland.

Hope for connection 'I am interested in all aspects of narrative practice and I am hoping to connect with narrative practitioners to keep up my interest, involvement and curiosity in narrative ideas to keep them alive in my thinking, practice and life in general. I am especially interested in meeting with practitioners who have an understanding of the outsider-witness process in therapy and those working with Aboriginal communities.'

Hope for connection During the two year Narrative course with Michael White, David Epston and friends in 1996 we learnt that the ideas can easily get lost or blunted when working in the wider world of ideas and survival. And so we have a narrative group that meets every month in Dublin to keep the spirit of narrative curiosity alive. We also have guests who skype us from abroad. This is quite effective.

I am looking to continue to offer therapy with individuals and families, supervision to therapists, and meet or discuss narrative ideas with visitors to Ireland by my computer or face to face.
