After working for more than 10 years teaching individual and family work, I lost my direction as I saw the widening gap between practitioners and users, and our disempowering clinical practice. The narrative ideas, thoughts, with its philosophy help solve my puzzles as it is an approach that closely examines the impact of the dominant discourse and power on persons. I hope that more can be done in Hong Kong to promote indigenous narrative practice. |

I have finished the international post-graduate diploma in narrative therapy organised by Dulwich Centre in 2003. This was a fascinating experience and I have continued my narrative practice in both community contexts (such as working with people who have been suffering from mental illness and other marginalised groups), educational contexts (narrative training and narrative supervision) and therapeutic contexts (having interviews with various people). So, I would like to link with other practitioners in relation to all these aspects. |

After years of services for youth and their families, I experience more about the power of counseling in Narrative perspective. Here I hope to share and connect more fellows to reflect and learn more how to be a decentering therapist for the well-being of young people in difficulties (e.g. employment, life planning, addictive behaviors). |

I have my narrative practice in group work practice since my placement of my master degree in social work in CUHK in 2005. I have conducted three narrative groups in HK with rheumatic adolescents/parents, chronic illness persons, and children with body fitness problems and also their parents. |
