Hope for connection I work alongside people in discussing the destinations that become possible in their lives due to rich story development. I love working with all persons, but if I were asked about a particular interest I would say that I enjoy working with teenagers and women. In my last few years of narrative practice I have enjoyed rich conversations about race and cultural identity and would love to engage in future conversations and explorations with other narrative practitioners.

Hope for connection I have been practising from a primarily narrative perspective for about 18 years and have written and presented widely in this area as an academic as well as offering trainings through the Glebe Institute, of which I am director. My interest in linking with other narrative practitioners includes the possibility of referring to therapists elsewhere, or receiving referrals here, but just as much to connecting with a global community for the possibility of sharing ideas and practices in a variety of contexts.

Hope for connection For the last 5 years I worked as a clinical counselor at a non-profit organization serving new immigrants, ex-army soldiers, and refugee population from Africa and the Middle East who speaks Arabic. I participated in narrative trainings, conferences, and did a number of narrative studies. I integrate narrative into my counseling approach. I enjoy it very much and I am interested in exploring narrative ways of working. Also, I am thinking of doing a project working with the Iraqi population in Vancouver. I welcome any one who is interested in this project idea. I have a BS in cultural anthropology I am currently halfway of finishing my MS in couple, marriage, family counseling.

Hope for connection I first began to practice Narrative Therapy in the early 1990s.

Since that time Narrative Therapy has provided me with a 'map' of how to connect with people in respectful, curious and non-judgemental ways within the contexts of Family, Individual and Couples therapy.

In addition to the positive shaping and influence that clients have had on the development of my therapy skills, I continue to be very excited by the exchange of ideas that teaching Narrative Therapy and providing supervision from a Narrative perspective has brought to my practice at Collaborative Therapy Associates (CTA).

I welcome contact with others interested in Narrative ways of working.

Hope for connection i currently work as a counsellor with youth and families experiencing problems related to substance use. in cases where violence/oppression is a problem i incorporate a response-based approach.

i am also a music therapist writing songs and improvising with youth and adults who resist a variety of barriers (i.e ableism, poverty, transphobia, exploitation) to living their preferred lives.

while i am delighted to connect with other therapists about a variety of topics (deleuze, john coltrane, research methodologies, buddhism) i'd particularly like to weave narratives with members who celebrate their lives in sobriety and/or riff with any practitioners who work musically.

Hope for connection Narrative ideas have brought coherency to my work both as a therapist and as a social justice activist. I have felt particularly enriched and encouraged by the practice of narrative group therapy which provides the inspiration for often isolated and marginalized individuals to seek out and create multiple communities of support. I have also run in both provincial and federal elections in support of the social justice issues which continuously emerge in my work as a therapist.

Hope for connection I work with individuals and families exploring the rich storylines that contribute to their preferred lives. I take an eclectic approach to practice, integrating narrative therapy and expressive therapies with children and adults. In my last few years of practice I have worked in the field of domestic violence but prefer to consider myself being an ally of the counter plot to this, working with individuals to access a healing response to powerlessness. I am currently a Provisional Psychologist and a Certified Canadian Counsellor. I hope to continue planting and growing seeds of narrative ideas into my Garden of Therapy and welcome connections with narrative therapists.
