I work in a CAMHS
setting in East Hampshire, UK, as a family Therapist. I am Chair of the
Hampshire branch of the Association for Family Therapy and an issue
editor of the family therapy magazine Context. I use narrative, both on
my own and as part of a team. I receive supervision form a Narrative
Therapist and three of us are hoping to set up a narrative interest
group in East Hampshire soon. |

I am currently
working in an Adult Community Mental Health Team based in Herefordshire,
UK. The Team and my peers fully accept my engagement in Narrative
Practices even though the NHS is currently rather CBT-driven. The CBT
focus often invites conceptual isolation into my workplace. Thus, I
would like to connect with anyone who is prepared to share their
narrative inclinations with me! I am also now working from home as a
private, part-time Narrative Practitioner and I take private referrals
from all sources. I would like to establish a Herefordshire Narrative
Practice Group. I would appreciate any ideas concerning getting such a
group up and running. |

I have had an interest in narrative practice for
many years and completed the post graduate diploma course in 2005. I
work with narrative practice in many different areas of my work. I
meet on a regular basis with others who are interested in Narrative
Practice, and always happy to meet visitors to London.

I
work in private practice as a counsellor and supervisor using narrative
therapy practices. I am especially interested in working with those who
perceive themselves to be ‘disabled’ in terms of sensory loss, learning
abilities or mental health and also how narrative practices can be used
for research. I am currently working with a group of men who are blind
or partially sighted (I am also partially sighted) exploring how
different vision is linked with identity claims, and how we can
re-define blindness. |

I have been excited by narrative ideas
for over 15 years now and have been enthusiastically applying them in a
number of settings. I work part time in a child mental health setting and
see narrative as something of an alternative to the structuralist
approaches which dominate. At the Centre for Narrative Practice, which
I co-direct, we hope
to contribute to building a narrative community through teaching,
conferences and other activities. |

My primary
interest is in developing my practice skills in my work is as a family
therapist with young people and their social networks. I also distribute
books and journals about narrative practice (primarily from Dulwich
Centre Publications) in Europe and beyond. I run training courses in UK
and Ireland in narrative practice and put on workshops with invited
narrative practitioners from around the world. I hope that joining
Narrative Connections will support these different endeavours. |

I am interested in introducing narrative therapy ideas in
my work with people who live with HIV/AIDS. I am hoping to link with
people who are developing their skills and knowledge in narrative
practice and who wish to share their ideas and experience. I am part of
the group of people interested in Narrative Therapy ideas that meets
two-monthly in central London. I look forward to building more narrative
connections. |

I currently work with people with
eating disorders, and am keen on developing narrative practice in this
work and in contributing to the dissemination of narrative theory and
practice. My other main interests are the culture of professional teams
and the implications of team culture for practice, accountability, and
the development of professional identity. My experience of linking with
other narrative practitioners is that it adds energy, creativity and a
bigger context to the work. |

I’m an international practitioner in coaching psychology
and psychotherapy (over 20 years), delivered seminars in the UK and
abroad: Barcelona, Brussels, Hong Kong, Paris, Stockholm, and Zurich. I
attended International Narrative Therapy Festive Conference 2006; one
week Workshop with Michael White at Adelaide; and successfully applied
narrative approaches to diverse communities in UK. I’m passionate about
using arts as vehicles to empower individuals and communities. I welcome
you to share your stories in our journeys. |

I am a clinical
psychologist working in physical health in the NHS and am particularly
interested to make connections with anyone working with narrative ideas
in similar settings. I am interested in the application of narrative
therapy ideas in the context of physical healthcare, and in an
organisation where these ideas are absent at best. I look forward to any
opportunities to share experiences, develop ideas and ponder things
generally via “Narrative Connections”. |
